Need to preview plugin updates

    I just updated a plugin, quicksand jquery post filter, and it completely ruined the layout I have been working on for about 5 weeks, yes I am slow.

    I find it always a bit stressful upgrading a plugin cause I do not know what previous code will be changed and how will it affect my websites.

    Is there no plugin or whatever to preview updates before installing or do I need to read all developers blogs and sites cause it is all my own risk to use wordpress plugins?

    There’s no plugin but for high profile sites (aren’t all our sites high profile? 😉 ) you may find it useful to setup a staging site for testing updates and code prior to deploying to your live site.
