    Is there already a header image? If there is, just rename yours to the default and upload it.

    Actually, I have no idea what the structure of your theme is so a URL would be helpful.

    Again... the address to your website please? It's hard to give you correct info without seeing what we're dealing with.

    Well for starters, this image doesn't exist:

    For another, your code is completely wrong. Since the theme doesn't already have a header image we need to create the code for it. To do that properly I'll need to see the header image.

    Note that cafe_maganai.jpg is NOT the same as cafe_maganai.jpeg

    Computers are such literal-minded beasts!

    Change the image link or rename the image file so both are the same.

    ok
    done that and i still have the same problem

    <`div id="page-top">
    <div id="wrapper-top">
    <div id="top-primary">
    <div id="header">
    <div id="title">
    <h1>/"><
    h1 { background-image: url(images/cafe_maganai.jpg);}
    </h1> >

    </div><!-- end "title" --> `

    That's because this:

    <h1>/">< h1 { background-image: url(images/cafe_maganai.jpg);} </h1>>

    is COMPLETELY wrong. You can't place an image like that and even if you simply dropped the header in with the correct code (<img src="http://www.maganaonline.com/blog/wp-content/themes/charcoal/images/cafe_maganai.jpg"/>) it wouldn't be aligned properly. What it comes down to is that the theme wasn't intended to have a header image and your header image doesn't fit in the space to the left of the search/RSS area. It will take some reworking of the code and the image to make it work. This is a great time for you to learn how to create/edit themes:
