Need to find a way to add multiple pictures, but not as a gallery.

Often times in a post I’ll share 20 images. I’ll typically want to write above and below those images as I talk about them. At this point the only option I know of is to put them in one by one (which takes FOREVER.)

If I insert all the images I uploaded to that post as a gallery, they all appear, but since it’s a gallery I can’t write above and below them. In other words, I can put them in the middle of my content.

Is there a way I can upload and insert several images at once into a post so I don’t have to keep doing it one by one. It’s ok if there are just a few pictures in a post, but when I’m putting 20-40 images it takes for ever.
