   I am looking for a (pref free, but willing to pay) way to convert my Joomla K2 site to wordpress...

   It's a big anime website with a crapload of k2 categories and insane amount of items (2000+). A lot of items are tagged. Most important part is that the extra fields get transferred. These contain urls which need to be imported into WordPress.

   Another important part is the images. Every single item is associated with an image and those need to be transferred as well.

   I would like to discuss posibilities with the coder on how viable this is.

   My main reason for switching is because joomla is getting uncontrollably slow. So slow in fact i had to turn on page caching due to crappy SEF and 250 queries to the database for frontpage loading...
   This won't be a problem with wordpress right?

   I've just completed Joomla K2 website to WordPress migration, you know guys, I didn't find any plugin for that and I tried gConverter, thay converted all Joomla K2 articles, Categories, Tags, Comments and Joomla users to WordPress within few hours, you can check this out for that gConverter Joomla K2 to WordPress

   Thank you artur-php!!!
   I got nice WordPress site too, my old k2 has been converted to WordPress today. K2 item related images have been converted to featured images of each WordPress posts.
