I was hired to uninstall everything from a client's server, reinstall WP and restore the db. When I logged into his hosting site I found an EXTREMELY limited control panel - I don't know *what* it's powered by - with no phpMyAdmin. The MySQL manager set up they have has no import function that I can see.
I exported the db in three different forms (.xml, .csv and .sql), thinking one of those would work for my purposes. (Should have checked, I suppose.) I installed WP 2.8.6 and, since I couldn't restore anything through the hosting control panel, figured I'd do it through the Tools menu of WP. Except it wants a WXR file, which somehow is news to me - I don't know what WP version I was using the last time I restored a db, but I don't remember ever encountering that.
Is there any way I can alter or convert one of the files I have to work with the WP import feature?
