Need some sidebar/column help.

Hello everyone.

my first post on this forum, I’m hoping it can resolve my problem.

I have a website at AlliedMotivation.com

I am using the twenty fourteen theme. It’s a great theme just how it is, however, I found that the black space to the right side of the website is empty and I want to use it.

I’d really like to add a black sidebar (keeping the color black/transparent so it doesnt mesh with the sidebar already there.) In other words I want to be able to add widgets to the side or banners and have them float on the left aligned of course with the rest of the theme.

by doing this I want to use the extra sidebar for ad space mostly.

I understand that I could also insert another column through CSS or somethign technical like that, But thats the reason I am here, I am not familiar with coding or css or any of that, I just get by with a little help from my friends.

anyway I hope my problem is clear and the solution is clear as well.
