    After a few days of testing I found that using actual excerpts is not worth doing, because they limit your ability to use custom html code at the main page, etc etc... So the only option I have is to use <!--more--> as a teaser separator for my pages that are really long in 90% of the cases. However, I’m using an edited version of BliX, which is "optimized" to use excerpts in the following way with all pages (!!! including archives, and categories) :
    ============================
    <?php ($post->post_excerpt != "")? the_excerpt() : the_content(); ?>
    <p class="info"><?php if ($post->post_excerpt != "") { ?>" class="more"> >>Read the rest of <?php the_title(); ?> here...<?php } ?>
    ============================

    The point is - I don’t want to use that, instead I need a simple standard extended entry function with type of thing, but by default it works with the main page only, not with categories and/or archives.

    Actually, your website http://www.macmanx.com/ has been constructed in this exact manner. Im wondering if you could share the way you did it? If it’s possible.

    But I would like to add some minor detail to this, instead of put the actual " thus the (..more) link would lead not to a /#more-x uri but just a full text article.

    I hope you would be kind enough to help me with that.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Take it easy, he's a busy man, and he'll be along when he can.

    I hope so, thanks.

  5. Inside your archives, categories, and search templates, you'll notice: <?php the_excerpt() ?>

    I just replaced that with: <?php the_content('Read the rest of this entry »'); ?>

    Hope that's what you're looking for!
