• Hi there,

What SEO Plugin(s) are you using for your MU installation?
Do I need to activate the plugin in every subdomain or just in the main domain?

    Thanks in advance

  • Depends on what you’re trying to do. 9 times out of 10, it’s more a matter proper writing for SEO purposes than any special plugin. Proper use of tags and categories, linkage and checking for broken links, etc.

We do use the Arne’s sitemap plugin on many of our installs. Am torn on if it really does any good or not though. (Sitemaps in general, not the plugin)

Are we not allowed to link to offsite plugins anymore? I know the links have been removed from the database but it’s really annoying getting caught by Akismet or whatever whenever I leave a link.

Even if you network activated an SEO plugin, you would still have to tweak the settings on each and every site. (and their entries)

Ideally, it’s best to link to plugins within the Plugin Directory. If that’s not possible, it might be a good idea to mention that the plugin you’re linking to is free and released under GPL.

I think there was just a misunderstanding about the plugin link. I’ve amended the link appropriately.

I think the OP was more asking about seo-specific plugin like All-in-one seo pack. Not sitemap generators (which is slightly related but not the same thing).
