   Hi

   We are planning to work on a job plugin for wordpress. It will be a quite detailed plugin

   The plugin that we are planning to work on is a quite popular Joomla! component which is actively being developed over 2 years. We are currently planning to extend it as WP plugin.

   See the screenshot url to have an idea about the plugin. (It's the admin panel of plugin)

   As i mentioned above, We are planning to work on this plugin. The screenshot shows the result of a pre-work.

   My question is below

   Do you think that WP needs a jobs plugin or not? I'm asking this because WP is mainly a blog software. Does people will need a job plugin for WP?

   yes. i mean like that :)

   but the thing we are planning will be more detailed like online resume creation, job alerts, payment gateways etc

   I would say that as WordPress continues its evolution into a full blown CMS, and sheds the 'I'm just a blog' label, yes, it would be good.

   This looks to be exactly what I am looking for. Can you tell how near to completing the plugin you are.
   If anyone out can put me in the direction of a similar plugin or somethung like this http://www.ratedpeople.com/ so people can look for jobs I would be grateful.

   @jackfitz1 : honestly, we are 2 weeks away from the first alpha version but we are planning a long testing period. because of the long testing period, It can be expected in 3 months
