Need help with sidebar theme ( adding a second sidebar)

I am having a problem with sidebars,I have the right sidebar already which is since I began work with this theme and I want to add another sidebar in that left side of the website(that empty white space more precisely)if possible and I have read some other topics about doing something like :
making a second “sidebar2” for example
and setting it up in functions and theme index, but I really have no clue what codes I should be inserting,I already messed up the website a few times.
