i have links to outside websites (sponsors) that end in .html, but wordpress keeps removing the .html and the link is dead. How do I get it to work so my sponsor can keep paying me to link to them?

Do you have any URL rewriting plug-ins active? If so, turn them off to see if that's the culprit.
If not, please provide a link to a page on your site where this is happening so people can help troubleshoot. Thanks.
