    i'm just starting to make my first website with wordpress. the link is this: here's my website
    ( http:www.jed-medai.com )

    the things which i would like to do to it include:

    removing the square box on the right of the screen. unless it is useful because i don't know what it's for.

    how do i take the uncategorised button of my website?

    where is the button where i can find out if some pages allow comments and which pages don't.

    also i don't know what i want to do to start this website, what i mean is like an induction it's going to have pictures of my photographs and i'll do photgraphs for other people to use.

    what SEO things should do like meta tags? i'm a noob at SEO. same with SEO for my blog.

    thanks

    I think you probably need to have a theme first. In terms of SEO, you can use plugins like Yoast.

    Hi, jed123

    1. Create own template

    <?php
    /**
     * Template Name: Full-width, no sidebar
     * Description: A one-colum template
     */
    get_header(); ?>

        <div id="content" class="clearfix">

    		    <div id="breadcrumb"><?php if(function_exists('rdfa_breadcrumb')){ rdfa_breadcrumb(); } ?></div>

            <div id="main" class="one-col-page clearfix" role="main">

    				<?php while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>

    				<?php get_template_part( 'content', 'page' ); ?>

    				<?php comments_template( '', true ); ?>

    				<?php endwhile; // end of the loop. ?>

    			</div>

    	</div>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    to remove comment part, just comment out the line <?php // comments_template( '', true ); ?>
    or delete it at all.
    This approach can be use to disable comment part in page.php

    ---- save template file as oneColumn.php in wp-content/themes/<your-theme-name>/

    2. Set the new template style
    .one-col-page {
    width:1024px; /*please adjust which suit your case*/

    }

    3. When you do step 1 & 2 above, you will see template option under Page Attribute > Template
    in your content/page editor.

    I need to know if this resolves any problem of yours?

    Thanks,

    Hanafi.
