I'm trying to upgrade to 3.1.3 and when I click update automatically I get a screen that ask for
Hostname
FTP Username
FTP Password
I put in the the ip address for hostname then for the FTP Username and password I put the username and password for my cpanel and click proceed and then I get a failed message.
I tried downloading the updated wordpress through my public_html but that didn't work either.
Please anyone help I would be very grateful

Ok here is the exact message I just got when i tried to do the update

Installing the latest version…
Could not copy file.: /public_html/truemoneynews.com/wp-admin/css/theme-editor.dev.css
Installation Failed

I got it upgraded by uninstalling it through Fantastico and re-installing it through Softaculous, every time I try and install a plug in or theme or anything it's asking for the same info
I finally found out what I was doing wrong but I'm still getting the same kind of Installation Failed messages
