need help with a template im working on

Under “Events” in the dash I have three events. When creating a title on each page the h1 is being created in a <hgroup> tag but I don’t want it to. I want it to be created in an <article> tag. I’m not sure how to go about doing this. I’m new to wordpress so my bad if this seems confusing or not enough info.
