   hi
   i am new to all this so i need help i have hope as a theme but i want to get rid of the extra button "blog"
   and on the search bar it says "search this blog"
   can anyone help me get rid of this.

   Check the header template file to see if it uses the wp_page_menu Template tags to generate the menu.

   Hmmm. Well it all depends on how the navigtion for the template is being created. I am assuming you create either the home or blog page manually. You can use the exclude-pages plugin to hide pages from the nav bar.

   i didn't create it manually it was there in the theme already
