I am in urgent need of finding out how I can take away categories and blogroll which appears on the right side of my pages. Also if its possible to take away the big part at the bottom which has most popular articles and rss in it and is gray

The theme you are using will have the title in a theme element, you will need to know the file name and the element name of that class or ID.
categories and blogroll manage admin panel side sub option of posts and also check it widgets option in admin side
Without more information, theme name, home page setup, and a link to the site, or the structure pasted on pastebin, we can only guess.
