Need help resizing individual sub-menus or block of one sub-menu so title will f

As you can see from the picture link above, my sub-menu title is too long. I will have an issue with this with some other pages too. The person I am doing this for is just making titles too long but to his defense, the subjects of the menu are hard to shorten.

Is there a way I can make the sub-menu background box length longer or the sub-menu background box wider so the title can fit on two to even 3 lines by default. I would fix the background tab in CSS but I don’t want the shorter titles to have a really long tab background. I’ve tried that and to see a short title in a background table with alot of white space going to the right just doesn’t look nice. Anyone know of a plugin or CSS fix?
