Need help removing footer banner from website

    I have a banner ad placed at the bottom of my website. The original website designer had it posted for me. I’ve tried everything to remove it but no luck. Please help!

    sorted? i can’t see a banner in the footer –

    the only one near the end of the page is the one just above the ‘next page’ text, which you might find in index.php or home.php of your theme.

    Did you mean a banner above “NEXT PAGE” text ?
    Did you use free theme ?
    Try to edit your footer.php in your theme directory.

    Yes the image on top of next page, can someone help me step by step how to do that, I’m completely new to this

    Check your footer.php (in your theme directory) and do a little edit in that file.

    you possibly find the banner in the front page template (index.php ?) of your theme; before the ‘next_posts_link()’ code.

    if you need someone to have a look, please paste the code of index.php into a http://pastebin.com/ and post the link to it here.
