Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 2.9) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
I tried both of those things. I dont think its either and I don’t even have any plugins activated. When I first set it up this wasn’t a problem and I have barely used it since setup so I am completely lost as to what I should do.
Are you saying that when you add a new page it doesn’t show up on the navigation menu on the front page? When you add a new page are you able to see it by clicking the view page button?
If you are using the WordPress custom menus you have to manually add new pages to the menu unless you have checked the box that says Automatically add new top-level pages.

yes this is my exact problem haha. ok so I have pages published. what is my next step? how do I add them to my main page?
I can access the page by typing in the url but for some reason I just cant figure out how to link it from my main page.
Go to your admin panel and under appearance click the menus button. On the left under pages check the pages that you want to add then click add to menu and click the blue save menu button in the right hand corner.
