[resolved] Need Help!! Moved WordPress data to another server. (4 posts)

Hopefully someone can help me out here. I had to move my website running on a physical server to a new hosted server. Both servers running the same OS and configuration. I already pointed DNS to the new server and changed the bindings in the IIS site and verified as you can access the site fine via http://www.evangelyze.net. I copied the wp-content folder and subfolders and files to the new WordPress install directory on the new server, exported and imported the mysql databases to the new server's mysql install, then edited the wp-config.php file appropriately (meaning, I copied and pasted the database, username, password, and authentication keys/salts).

Now I can see the main page of the website, but whenever any link is clicked, and even though I can see and edit each page in the wp-admin site, the site errors out with a 404 not found. For example, I can edit and view the About page in the wp-admin site, but when I click on the About link from the main website, I get a 404. For some reason, the site is trying to find a folder called http://www.evangelyze.net/about/ which does not exist.

    Any ideas?

For what it's worth, I can access every page on your site. Though your URL structure is showing http://www.evangelyze.net/index.php/about/ for example. But all the pages are showing without a 404 problem.

    Try dumping your browsers cache?

Permalinks was the issue. Changed to another setting from custom and everything works fine! Thanks for the amazingly fast response. Great support out here.
