   Hi, I'm jason . I'm a fresh developer. I'm new to wordpress can u just give me some tips about wordpress. Let me come straight - I've been assigned a project of a small Educational Institution[kinder Garden], as per their requirements they need:-
   1. a website with a CMS.
   2. Which should have parent login to check the monthly report of the kid, Which can be updated using CMS [Progress Report different to every individual].
   3. An SMS facility to alert parents about the progress and Notices of School.
   4. Calender of Events which can be viewed by the parents who login.

   Can you suggest me whether it can be developed using wordpress??
   Or is it better to use PHP and design a custom made website??

   Sure you could do that in WordPress. But. If you already have experience doing this in another tool, I would use that first.

   For WordPress, you'd need to use plugins to protect information from users (i.e. Mom1 can't see Mom2's data) and other plugins for SMS.
