the first two things that jumped out at me:
1. The smileys…way too many, hard to concentrate on anything else
2. No space between your entries, very hard to tell where on estops and another starts.

I think the gray colour may contribute to people not liking it as much. It portrays a somber, dark, even sad kind of atmosphere. If that’s what you are going for, then you’ve got it! However, if you are cheery, upbeat, and want to have fun, then try out a colour scheme that reflects that.

As to your smilies, using smilies designed for a white background with the grey really doesn’t help as well. First thing you’ll want to do is search for smilies with an invisible background so the white is gone. Even with those, find ones optimized for a black background if you’re going to choose a deeply coloured background.
As for your site, certainly work towards a design that is pleasing and user-friendly, but I think if you worry less about what people think and more about truly representing your interests everything else will come. Looks are nothing without content. Find enjoyment in it and have it represent your true interests and the rest will come.

The gaps between posts, and the dots you get for categories are because the index has been stripped of the code to keep it looking nice.

I think it is a great design. Yes, change the smilies to a more suitable colour but apart from that it looks excellent.

Got it off of ddg, the link to the makers site is on the bottom ^.^ I try and make tempelates, but they never come out quite the way I want them too. Don;t want to publish them as linkwares yet because, well, how good would that look if I don;t even use my own designs huh?
As far as the smilies go, I’ve decided to diable them overall. For some reason, none of my transparent images will actually show up as transparent, IE or FireFox. Don;t need them THAT badly though ^_^ Thank youz all -hugs and begins to write-
