Hey. I got an idea for a site of mine, and it sounds pretty simple on paper, but since I have no experience in coding, I have to ask you guys, who have more experience. =]

So, what I'm asking is - is there any way to put out posts from a WordPRess site, and change them with Widgets. Widgets would be only the "Text" widget or only HTML to be more exact.

I'm thinking a homepage, filled with little HTML widgets, and no posts. Most themes are like a blog-style system. A post under a post, but I want this to be in lines, no sidebars, no nothing, just lines (horizontal and vertical) of widgets. Stuff like Twitter widgets and so on and on.

I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but I don't really know what this "thing' categorizes under. I guess it's theme adjusting, but I'm not really sure.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

I'm not sure what you mean by 'change them with widgets' but if what you want to do is build a site that is all widget then that should be pretty easy to do. Do you understand how to widgetize a theme?

I want a site with only widgets. Like a three collumn theme, left sidebar filled with widgets, the middle one too, and the third sidebar also filled. I'll try posting them on posts though, might work....

    Thanks for responding. =]

Well, that really should be pretty easy. Just follow the directions for widgetizing a theme, remove or leave out what you don't want, and add a couple of sidebars.

The tut seems too complicated, but still thanks. Is there any plugin combination in order to achieve my goal?

Anyone else? It doesn't even have to be wordpress, but it's preffered.

The problem is that what you want isn't a good job for a plugin. Its a theme edit, and a very simple one-- seriously. I can walk you through it step by step but I'm not going to make the effort until I know you are going to jump in.
