Need Help Fixing My Superifsh Header Bar

Right now my theme is using a Superfish jQuery Menu

I have a couple problems…

First, the header does not work properly in IE6.

Second, while the header looks perfect in Firefox and Safari, Internet Explorer 8 ignores the ‘<span style=”display:block;” />’ that I’m using to force the header links to split and start a new line.

And finally, while all the links work, the ‘Home’ link works slightly different than all the others. When on the homepage, the ‘Home’ link adds an extra background to show the user that they are on the homepage, but none of the other pages do this when selected. I’d like every page’s header link to show that extra blue background when on the actual page.
