    Hi everyone;

I hope that somebody can solve this,
I have a blog running on WordPress, and actually, I'm good on Worpdress, I did the troubleshooting for 3 years. But now, I can't solve this problem, please help me.

    My blog's address is:
    http://www.mesgulsinyali.com

And you can see the error message right now.

    Message is this:
"Could not open required directory /home/mesgulsi/public_html/wp-content/themes/ms_v6/library/extensions/"

I'm using WP-Framework for my theme, and this theme I have been using it for like 3 years. Nothing happened before.

    Please help!

A bit hard to help you without any further information. What did you do to the blog before and after it stopped working. Something must have occurred. It will either be something that has been changed with the theme, Plugins or WordPress configuration.

If you have not touched a thing, and are sure of this then it is unlikely that it is your WordPress site if it has been working fine for 3 years. In this case it could be something to do with your server!

As I say it is hard to diagnose without further information. What version of WordPress are you using, how many Plugins are you running etc. (any new ones?).

Perhaps you could try enabling the default theme, and turn off ALL Plugins for the time being etc. and try to track down the problem. Has anyone else had access and messed up any code? Have you a backup that you can restore if all else fails?

Hi, thank you for the quick answer.

First of all, I really didn't do anything before this error came.

After the error message, I'd changed the plugins directory's name and created an empty plugins directory. Still the same error there was. And I concluded that there's nothing with the plugins (but now, I'm not really sure about it, anyway).

WordPress' last version I'm using on the blog. I always do the updates.
And server company, which is one of the sponsors of the blog (this is a business blog by the way), did the backup and they said nothing happened. I mean, they did the backup but error message still the same.

I remember the last plugin update was last week. It means, there is a week's time between I last updated any plugin of the site and the error message.

I'm waiting for your message after all this, and meanwhile I'm going to change the theme's folder name and try that way.

    Thank you.

By the way, front-end and back-end gives the same error message, I can't use the back-end, too.

    Flash news...

I always use WP-Framework to develop themes. And my blog's designs were always on it. And now, I've changed the theme's name and plugins folder's name. I've created a new plugins folder which is empty. And I could reach the back-end and have switched the theme to the default theme.

You can see the blog now.

But I can't seem to switch any other themes that I developed over Wp-Framework. Just default theme.

    What should I do? I think there's a problem with the WP-Framework.

I would do one of two things:

    1. Contact the WP-Framework support and see if they can help you out.
    2. If you really cannot solve your problem, personally I would export all blog data, save all themes and Plugins, then do a clean WordPress install. Then add everything back in.

But it is up to you of course. Otherwise you could be chasing your tail trying to track down the problem.

    Thank you, really.

I did contact WP Framework support and I'm waiting, god knows how long.
And I'm going to export all the things, eventually (if nothing comes from wp framework support).
    Let's see.

But thank you. Really. I appreciate it.
