    Ok I have searched this forum and cannot find a good answer to my problem. I would like to add different backgrounds to different pages on my site. I'm currently creating different variables in my .css file and then in my pagetemplate.php file I'm running some "if" statements to check what page should get what background. It seems to work in IE 7 but not firefox or any older versions of IE. If there is an easier way to do this or perhaps if someone could look at the code I'm using (see below) and offer some help I would appreciate it.

    CSS CODE:
    #bckjohn { background: url(THEURLHERE); }

    #bcknelson { background: url(THEURLHERE); }

    PAGE CODE:
    <?php if (is_page('57'))
    {
    echo('<div id="bcknelson">');
    }
    ?>
