[resolved] Need folding page plugin that unlinks the parent page (5 posts)

    Hi,
I run a tech "how-to" site for motorcycles and I'm trying to import all my technical articles into WordPress for ease of manipulation and increased features for my site. I am having some theme related problems that I addressed in another thread, but am also trying to find a plug-in (if one exists I can't find it) that allows folding pages, but also unlinks the parent page. You can sort of see what I'm going for at the test site here:

I have my parent/child pages under "Maintenance & Tech", my nav menu is way too long when it's expanded, so I want it to fold. I found a few folding pages plug-ins that work well (I'm using "Page Tree" right now), but the other problem I have is that the parent page still has to function as an actual page. I would like the parent page to not be an actual page so that when it's clicked it just unfolds the menu. I found another plug-in (Page Lists Plus) that allows you to "unlink" pages, but then my menu doesn't fold.

So, is there a plug-in that I am unaware of, that can help me to do what I want? I have scoured this site and google and have yet to find anything - but it's possible that I might be searching for the wrong thing...

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer, and I can assure you that the people who use my page for information will appreciate it also!

    Thanks in advance.

I tried that plug-in, it would not work for me. I actually spent 2 entire days trying to get it to work. All I found from searching was a mix of people, some said it worked fine and some said it was broken. If I'm not mistaken I may have seen your name as one of the folks who said it worked for them.
I could never find anyone who could shed light on the reason it didn't work, just people saying that it did not.

FYI - when I installed that plug-in it would not work in the admin area or the site. I specify that because some people stated it worked in the admin panel but not on the live site.

If you or anyone else has any idea how to fix that, or another idea to try I am all ears. Thanks for your time.

Worked fine as a widget using the WordPress Default theme, no other plugins installed.

Thanks for pressing me to try that again, for whatever reason it works this time... I have a default install with slight mods to only the CSS and only a couple of unrelated plug-ins - but it didn't work before. So I don't know why it didn't work before, but it works now and I love it - thanks again for the help.
