I’ve searched all over the place (including the codex) and can’t seem to get a straight answer (or any answer, really) about this issue.

I have a multisite install using subdirectories and the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin. Each site in the network has its own domain, and everything seems to be running smoothly (imagine that).

What I’m confused about are the settings listed on the Network Site Settings page (Network Admin > Sites > Edit Site > Info Tab and Settings Tab. Specifically:

    – Domain & Path on the Info tab.
    – Siteurl, Home, Fileupload Url on the Settings tab
    – Ossdl Off Cdn Url (a WP SuperCache setting) on the Settings Tab

When I add a new site, and even after I map the appropriate domain to it (and everything is working), the settings above are set to “http://www.myrootdomain.com/subdirectory/”. Am I supposed to manually change those settings to “http://www.mymappeddomain.com” and a path of “/”?

What’s strange is that when I enter “www.mymappeddomain.com” in the Domain field on the Info tab and check “Update siteurl and home as well” those fields get updated with “http://mymappeddomain.com/www/”. I realize that I can go into the Settings tab and correct them there.

The reason I’m even getting into all of this is because I have a plugin that assumes a site is not mapped if its Path setting is not “/”. I’m not sure if the plugin is making an incorrect assumption or if I have things setup incorrectly.

Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!
