I am having some difficulty creating a page for my website to process membership dues. I would think there would be a plugin out there that can handle what I am trying to do. I could be wrong and I am open to suggestion. But here goes, this is what I need:

I need to create a page on my website with a membership form. This would be a membership to the non-profit organization and not the WordPress site. Our organization has a physical membership form that I would like to model the page after but if that is not possible I can make do with whatever works. I would like to be able to put my company logo on the form with a mission statement. The membership would need to be a $15 donation with an option to donate more. I would also need to make sure that these membership donations/dues would link to our non-profit paypal account and also be able to accept credit/debit cards. I would need the form to state the benefits of a membership of the organization such as, a weekly E-Newsletter, leadership opportunities within branch or chapter, invitations to special events and meetings, and an acknowledgement on our website. These $15 memberships would be a yearly donation and I would like to be able to give members an option for automatic membership renewal. The last thing this form would need to be capable of is collecting the members contact info such as name, email, phone #, and address.

I have looked for a plugin that can handle this but I am still new to WordPress and have had no luck. If anyone knows of a plugin that would meet my requirements please let me know. If a plugin does not exist is there another way I can incorporate a form like this on my site?

Thank you in advance your help is appreciated.

    Chris

That will get you the functionality you need assuming you have the technical knowledge to set it up. E-commerce tends to be full of many confusing options, so you might be better off hiring or bartering with a web designer to set it up. You will probably need to hire someone for at least styling the form. What you’ve described isn’t too complicated, so if that’s all you need, you should be able to find someone to do it for a reasonable price here.

Have you looked at WP-e-commerce Plug-in? It is very flexible and customizable for almost any possible need.

If you want to look for a forms plug-in there are MANY options.

The difficulty with using a form plugin would be making it work work with an e-commerce plugin(which is the only way to be sure the customer paid). I’ve never tried it, but having dabbled in php, I imagine it would be rather difficult. It would be easier to skin the form that comes with the eCommerce software and less expensive too, since it can be done by a web designer and not a developer.

There are many membership plugins. I would avoid the shopping cart/general ecommerce plugins like WP-e-commerce. They are great, but have lots of options and settings that you don’t need for a membership site like you need.

s2Member is good. Another free option is Paid Memberships Pro:

You can get support for Paid Memberships Pro or hire us for help at http://www.paidmembershipspro.com.

    Good luck.

Chris, how did you resolve this problem? I’m trying to set up a similar system for a non-profit, and have had no luck figuring out what to do, other than pony up for Gravity Forms, which we can’t afford.

    Thanks,
    Zak

I see that this thread is marked as resolved, but I would also like to know how RBCadmin figured it out. The plugin described is exactly what my organization needs, and all the other plugin options I’ve explored are overkill and don’t integrate with a separate database (like a Google Doc spreadsheet).

    Any help?
