   New to WordPress, actually just started diving into web development. Are the <p> tags necessary in posts or does WordPress automatically generates them?

   If you use the wysiwyg editor, <p>s should be automatically added.

   You can confirm this in your internet browser by:
   - right-click
   - view source
   (or the equivalent for your browser/system).
