Hi,
I am trying to get the Neat Skype Status plugin/widget working in WordPress 3.3 (I have a network enabled with Neat Skype Status activated on just one site). When I add the widget to my sidebar it works for administrators, but when logged in as a subscriber, where I would expect to see the Skype icons, I see the content that comes up when WordPress can't find a page, complete with the normal header for a page, i.e the 'Well this is a bit embarrassing message', as you can see here.
Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong here, and why it would work for administrators and not subscribers?
Thanks,
Nick

Hey Nick,
I have tested my site with subscriber account, seems to work. Does it work if you Log out completely?

Hi Aurimas
Thanks for your messages. Because the site is for members only, you can't get in to the site without logging in, so I can't test that.
I have just tested the plugin with the following browsers and I see the same problem, as described above, in all of them:
Safari 5.1.2
Firefox 8.0.1
Chrome 16.0.912.63

And Neat Skype Status is 1.1.3?
This is something to do with the way you have your site setup. How did you implement it in this way that only logged in users can see the content?
Tell me the steps so I can reproduce the problem

I have installed the plugin 'Password Protect Plugin for WordPress' to make sure that users have to login, and another plugin 'Peter's Login Redirect' which redirects users to the home page once they have logged in

Ok, so check if you have the redirect to https or http. Only one of them works for me (https). I mean for example https://www.yoursite.com
Also, I noticed even before installing the redirect plugin that it redirects to home page anyways (without it). Try uninstalling it to see if that's the problem.
If not - what else is different for your site from default installation? theme?

I tried using https for redirects but I got an error saying a secure connection could not be established. So then I tried deactivating the redirect plugin, and I still have the same issue with Neat Skype Status for subscribers.
I am using a slightly modified version of the Twenty Eleven theme. I have mostly only made changes to CSS so I don't think that would be the issue.
Here is a list of the other plugins I am using:
Custom Meta Widget
Diamond MultiSite Widgets
Front End Users
Multisite User Management
NextGEN Gallery
Password Protect Plugin for WordPress
Post-Plugin Library
Quick Chat
Recent Posts
Recent Posts Slider
Simple Local Avatars
WP-UserOnline
WP Multi-Network

Good news,
I installed ALL of your plugins, and it did mess it up completely:) So it is a conflict between plugins, not sure which one though. Maybe I'll try to uninstall it one by one and see when it starts working again.

The bad news I can't bring up the login screen (it redirects me to home page) so I can't test it now. I will end up reinstalling everything:) but at least I know that's it's not my mistake in writting the plugin
