Switch to Twenty Twelve theme and see if the menu and slider reappears.
You need to update WordPress, plugins and your theme.
The news slider is a feature from the theme, so I guess it’s normal that it’s doesn’t show when I changed to twenty twelve. Ok, i’m going to try that. But any ideas why this happened all of a sudden? Some weeks ago I had another problem, the bottom widget just disappeared and when I get on the widgets page it’s in a category named “inactive widgets” and I can’t take it out of that. Don’t know if it’s related.
Such problems can occur due to software conflicts when they become incompatible with everything else, including the server settings and software which are all regularly updated.
You need to update WordPress, plugins and your theme.
Everything is up to date now and the problem still persists.
Your menu is working now. Clear cache and try again, also use a different browser or a different machine.
