navbar toggle button

I want to make the bootstrap responsive navbar button look and act like it does in almost all other bootstrap built themes and sites. I cannot share a link to my site as we cannot take it live until it is completed (it is for a charity organization).

I want my navbar button to toggle the menu items in the generic way ie on the right

How is this achieved with the customizr theme?

Its a lovely theme but this is a issue for me. Thanks
