Skinning -> Nav Bar Below Header

I want to use an image that is already in the royal blue theme. I'm having problems specifying the relative url for the image. I want to use the relative url so that it won't break when I move WP to a new directory.

    The image is at

    http://www.mydomain.com/wp/wp-content/themes/suffusion/images/menu-dark1.jpg

The css file specifying the image is at

    http://www.mydomain.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/suffusion/custom-styles.css

But when I specify the below as the relative url for the nav bar background image image at Suffusion Options -> Skinning -> Nav Bar Below Header, it isn't finding the image. What am I doing wrong?

    ../../themes/suffusion/images/menu-dark1.jpg

I have a second problem with customizing the skinning here.

If I specify a Nav Bar Background image, I have to set the Navigation Menu Items background as transparent, so that the font will display properly against the background image and not against a background color over each menu item.

However, if I set the above to transparent, the dropdown menu items are also transparent. The theme default somehow gets around this, while the options do not appear to provide enough options to be able to specify the dropdown menu background color to be different from the nav bar menu item background. Am I missing something?
