I'd be interested in starting a WordPress group in the Nashville area and surrounding. I've recently been moving many clients and sites to WordPress for it's ease of use and functionality, but most of all because with a little training, I can teach my clients how to do their own updates. They like that concept.

If you are interested in being part of a wordpress group to talk about wordpress, it's uses, programming, client needs and any hacks or tricks, please feel free to contact me and we'll get it rolling.

There's a meetup that's going on about every other week in downtown Nashville. Check the link below for details. There doing an intro course right now, going over the basics, and how-to.

It's definitely focused at a beginner level right now, but it's good, the first and second meetup were a little jumbled with to many random questions. Now there is some kind of focus.

I signed up to go to that "Meetup." If it sucks we can move forward with starting our own. Problem for me is I'm not a php programmer, but have many clients asking for websites they can control and wordpress is turning out to be the answer.

Most of the people there are just getting started with WP. It seems like it's been a good place for people to meet who have various needs. I am one of a few dev's that go. I enjoy hanging out even if I'm not that involved.

I'm sure I'll see you there.
