• I recently bought a domain through wordpress.com. I then got hosted through bluehost.com. I set the nameservers on my wordpress.com account to point to bluehost, but now when I try to login under http://www.example.com/wp-admin it redirected me to my old example.wordpress.com/wp-admin, which doesnt even make sense becaue I don’t need to logon that way through wordpress.com??

Also, what do I set as my primary domain on wordpress.com’s (Upgrades>Domains) tab. Either one I set, I still get redirected to wordpress.com when I typed in example.com/wp-admin.

    Help!! 🙁

I read that and it seems like that was all done, but my site is showing up correctly on another computer, but not this one. Could it be because I just changed the nameservers last night and it doesn’t take on all computer networks yet?

I tried that. I am actually even able to view and login on my iPhone, but not this computer. I have a feeling it’s just nameserver change from last night.

NameServer changes can take quite a while and vary depending on your ISP and location as to when it will actually show as updated. From what I see here, it seems like you’ll just need to wait a bit longer, then it should be good.

Strange – same thing happens to me, however in a different fashion. I changed my nameservers and was actually working on my new blog site for several hours after pointing the domain to my new hosting server. I did a quick restart on my computer and *BAM* I’m instantly taken back to my old blog after have been working on my new blog for so long. FTP is fine and files are all still there…just doesn’t point.

I’m guessing it’s the same issue (time) because my fiance logged in from her computer when I was working on my new blog right after the install ( while using chrome, firefox, and IE!) and she just told me she saw the old version and not the new version…

So I will give it 24-48 hours
