mysterious plug-in Under drop-in

    when viewing the plug-in page under drop-in
    install.php Custom install script.Drop-ins are advanced plugins in the /wp-content directory that replace WordPress functionality when present.

    the problem was that is overriding normal WordPress functions like my SMTP mailer.

    Can anyone tell me how to delete it.

    It was a left over plugin in from from Backup buddy. It’s how it can transfer to a different domain.

    When you use BB to transfer to another domain it creates the file. Just locate it and delete it.

    I don’t think it’s in plugins? look in one of the sub directories under wp_content.
