   When I install the wordpress blog program on my webhost it says I need a MYSQL username & Password. Where do I go to edit these or obtain these?

   and my wp-config.php is wp-config-sample.php for some reason.

   Well I got everything worked out till the point I can login. I don't know what my login is as it has nothing to do with my wordpress one..

   When you did the install.php, it would have displayed the Username and password as well as emailing that information to you.

   WordPress by default, creates a username of admin so you will need to read Resetting Your Password if you don't have the admin password.
