The university I attend, Rutgers, has mysql 3.23 installed. They do not plan on upgrading, and I would like to use WordPress for my student organization's web presence. What version of WordPress would be compatible with mysql 3.23? They meet the other requirements for WordPress.

I would try getting 2.0.11 to work
but really no version that old is going to be secure
have you thought about maybe using a free mysql service and connect remotely?
That way you could run a recent version
