    Hi there,

    I’m trying to install the “mybloglog” plugin (found there : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mybloglog/#post-2937) but I think I’m making a mistake in the “Your MyBlogLog Application ID:” field.

    Everytime I try to put the widgets on my blog I get this message in the widget column : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /users/user5165/sites/nflactu.com/test/wp-content/plugins/mybloglog/class.mybloglog.php on line 14

    I’m not an expert so I don’t really understand the options or what I can chose when I try to get an application ID. 😕

    My WP blog
    – WordPress 2.3.3
    – Theme : 3 colours
    – Link : http://nflactu.com/test

    Thanks in advance and sorry for my english

    Al 🙂

  • Since you have to put the code into that widget anyway, why not just put the code into a text widget?

    That’s how I’ve always done it.

    Sorry but I don’t understand what section of the code I should put in a text widget :S

    after you set your colours etc you copy and paste a code that looks something like this.

    <script src="http://pub.mybloglog.com/comm3.php?mblID=xxxxxxxxxxxx&amp;
    r=widget&amp;is=normal&amp;o=l&amp;ro=4&amp;cs=black&amp;ww=220&amp;wc=single"></script>

    take that code put it in a text widget, save and the blog log will show in your sidebar

    That works, thank you.

    But this just display my mybloglog profile.
    Isn’t this plugin supposed to allow vistors to create profiles on my blog ?

    AH I see that plugin creates a function in your blog.

    Have you tried contacting the plugin author?

    and do you have the necessary requirements?

    # PHP 5
    # Curl

    With the mybloglog widget people can still join your community it is just hosted on bloglog.
