• I have 4 different websites under 1 hosting account. All the HTML and PHP based website work just fine as far as the speed is concerned but the other 2 website that I’ve been using wordpress for is very slow. I’ve installed W3 Total Cache, Optimizer, Cloudflare and still hasn’t helped much with the loading speed.

I’m not exactly sure who I should turn to at this point other than re designing the wordpress site back through HTML/PHP.

    Please help!

  • you could try to profile your websites using fx.

    – Debug bar plugin
    – Blackbox plugin
    – P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) plugin

    or other similar plugins

Thanks! I’ll look into those and see if changes anything.

I downloaded the P3 plugin and deleted few of the plugins that was taking the most time to load but that didn’t really seem to make any difference on the loading speed.

Is there anything else I need to do?

    fx:

    – check if you have any slow database queries using fx the first two plugins

    – check your sites on

    http://www.webpagetest.org

and investigate the waterfall views (and the other info) to see what’s slowing your sites down.

    Thanks!

I had a gallery slideshow that was on the homepage so I removed all.. and have now only included a single picture on the home page.

Note: my domain name replaced with mywebsite.com

This is the Details from the test:

are you on godaddy by any chance?

    Thread Starter asher04

    (@asher04)

Domain through Godaddy and hosting through ipage

Also, I am using the free version of cloudflare – if that makes any difference.

    Thanks!

When I disabled cloudflare and went back to ipage nameserver – the First Byte Time went up to a GRADE D but it slowed down by website quite a bit.

So, I am back using the cloudflare. By the way, I am running a multisite.

    Here’s my website http://bit.ly/Q2FHzY

    Please advise.

    Thanks!

you should try switching to the default theme (2011) and see if you get the same slow performance (and no plugins).

you could also test files like:

    test.html
    test.jpg
    test.php

to compare to your wordpress site.

Thanks Birgire for the suggestions. I did what you suggested and it doesn’t seem to help.

However, I installed WP-minify instead of enabling the W3TC minify and it does seem to help a bit with the loading speed from loads.in – Despite, I still think it’s pretty slow in terms of speed.

Did you check my website by any chance? http://bit.ly/Q2FHzY

Let me know, what you think of the speed. I am in the process of creating another site with in the same wordpress installation (different theme, independent domain name) but a bit hesitant to go through until I solve this speed issue.

    Thanks!

Hi, I checked your site, it is rather slow

The html content has relative long waiting and receiving parts.

Did you check the database queries – using fx: the blackbox/debug-bar plugins?

    (@asher04)

Yes.. I did but am not sure how to look at it. This is what the queries shows
