this is server end error, generally due to high load, or busy database server.

There is one possibility of htaccess isue, but in that case, your site would not work at all!

I just did a little Googling, and 500 Internal Server Errors appear to be quite common on GoDaddy, and likely have nothing to do with WordPress. And, yes, I am seeing forum posts from as recently as September 5th talking about similar behaviour for Drupal, etc.

Last Autumn and Winter, I used another hosting service and got 500 errors whenever their web server was busy, because they used Resource Manager software. And they had it set to kill almost any process when things got busy, including mine.

I switched hosting services after Technical Support would take 90 minutes to respond and say "oh, we aren't getting any 500 errors in the two seconds that we spent checking".

Or, to put it another way, you will note GoDaddy's absence from this page: http://wordpress.org/hosting/

hello sir. where you able to resolve this issue with the internal server error? I'm having the same problem now with my wordpress site hosted at GoDaddy.

I also recently got this error on our godaddy site.

There have been no changes to our site in several weeks (no upgrades, no plug in's, nothing) so it must be them.

    Code does not rot.

    Time to find another providor.

I'm having the same problem. I keep getting this. "Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for anything useful. If you don't have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.
