I went to publish a post, hit publish and on my blog all of my blog posts contents dissapeared, the title is still there..

I checked some other blogs and it's the same issue. Not all blogs have this issue:

I haven't made any changes.. The posts show up if I goto Posts-> Edit

    All blogs run different themes

Here are 2 blogs from this WPMS for you to reference:

    http://mclear.co.uk
    http://etherpad.org

These blogs are fine yet on the same MS host.
    http://newhallpark.primaryblogger.co.uk/
    http://demopupil.primaryblogger.co.uk/

The timing is obviously terrible so any help I can get is appreciated..

Note: I have daily .sql backups however this is worst case scenario.

Anyone any ideas on where I should start looking?

  2. These "missing" posts -- is the content still in the database?

Yep, I can see it if I go to Posts -> posts too.

Update: It appears to be due to domain mapping. More details to follow..

I disabled domain mapping on etherpad.org and ether.primaryblogger.co.uk is okay..

  5. Okay -- but surely you must changed a setting or tweaked a value or enabled a plugin, somewhere? Can your admins enable plugins on the hosted sites, maybe that contributed?

Resolved: Only blogs w/ the domain mapping plugin were affected, this is now resolved. It was due a piece of code being commented out that redirected on user post. For some reason it was only executed or noticed when a new post was published onto a site that had domain mapping (3 of 1000 sites have domain mapping)..

    Thanks Paul :)
