    Hi,

I've got what seems to be a pretty serious problem.

After entering my username and password for the admin area of my site, I'm met with a blank browser window and the admin area won't load.

I've tried on Safari and Firefox and on mac and pc, but I just see a blank browser after entering my username and password.

I've also tried to reset the password. When I click to request a new password, I again get a blank browser, but the reset request is sent to my email account.

    Very weird!

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks.

    Try:
    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I managed to solve the problem (I think) by accessing the site via FTP and renaming the plugins folder in the content to 'plugins.hold' and then accessing the admin before renaming again.

    Seems to have worked!
