   Hello everyone!

   I created a website about a year ago on WordPress and I just checked it and all the information is gone (when i log in AND on the site).

   http://www.hallowedgroundtours.com/

   The only thing that is the same is the domain name and the title. I had a customized theme from themeforest if that helps at all and there are no pages now and no information.

   What can I do and why does this happen?

   log in to host's phpmyadmin and look at the database to see what's in there

   thanks, samuel! sorry i'm not exactly sure what you mean by checking the database. i've logged into the wordpress admin site and to my ftp site to look through the folders. everything on my ftp site looks right, but the wordpress admin site is all blank.

   the database is where all info is stored
   if you look in there you can determine if the old posts, etc. are still there by browsing different tables

   Thanks, I've found it but am not seeing any old posts. Do you know why this happens? My domain and hosting are up to date and I can't find any glaring reasons why my site would disappear.

   it shouldn't happen unless the host reset the db for some reason

   see if the host has backups of the db

   Thanks, checking.

   Also, I just logged back into my wordpress site and it said to continue to Appearance I need to update my database. Could this have anything to do with needing to update WordPress or some other update problem? I did notice that there was a $99/year option now when you register which I hadn't seen before.
