Hate to go public with this, but I need help. My friend and webhost no longer answers his phone or emails. He lives on the other side of the country and I do not know anyone else that I can contact to find out if he is ok. It has been two months since he disappeared; we were in the middle of email conversations, and then nothing. His phone still rings, but if I let it ring till the machine picks up, it says that the machine is shut off. His wife does not reply either. We were due to pay our hosting fee for one site a few weeks back, but no request for payment or anything. We need to have our sites transferred to a new host, I suppose, but do not know how that would be done or even if it could be done without him. I would appreciate a private reply via my email. He is a long time friend and I am grieving this and would appreciate help on the technical things.

Posted 3 years ago #Do you have access to data on the server? In this case you could back up the entire site.
Or do you simply have access to an admin account on your WP? In this case there is an option to backup your posts...Please include details on what access you have to the server...
