My themes are broken, and I didn't touch anything! (6 posts)

    Alright so here is exactly what I happened:

    My friend made me a header image for my default wordpress theme. I already changed the default theme, so I decided to duplicate it. All I did was change the header image.
    So my themes were
    default
    Cosmo Girl (same as default, but with a different header image)
    + other themes

    Once that happened, it said "The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme." I assumed it was because of my new theme, so I deleted it. But it still said the themes were broken. So I deleted ALL of the themes. With NO themes at all, it still said "The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme."

    Keep in mind didn't touch a THING.

    oh yea, and at one point it said I needed a stylesheet and template for my theme. But I did have a stylesheet, and i don't know what it means by template. If it's something like template.php i've never had that before.

    Any ideas? Please

    Template = index.php
    The minimal theme is: 1 index.php + 1 style.css

    Edit. After describing ALL the stuff you have done... it's a bit strange to read "I didn't touch anything" :)

    lol What I meant by "I didnt touch anything" was that I didnt change any coding, edit any other themes, nothing. lol

    You have the infamous blank page. You should login to the site http://insanitykills.org/wp-login.php and change themes to see if that is the cause. If so then fix the theme or use a different one.

    You might find that it is a wayward plugin causing the problem. Keep the admin screen in one window and test in another. If blank then turn off plugins and find which one is choking.

    All my themes go blank now. Even ones I JUST downloaded.

    I really don't know what happened. All I did was load a new theme.

    I'm going to deactivate all my plugins and see what happens.
