My sites down from deleting the links in the footer… help

    Hi,

    Ive been reading through post to try to figure this thing out. I am using a free theme, and i would like to remove the sponsored links in the footer. I did removed the links and now my site is down.

    I cant figure out the correct way to reformat the gibberish code in the function file.

    If someone can please shine some light i would greatly appreciate it.

    Does your site work with the default WordPress theme? Chances are that the theme you are using does a check to see if you remove the sponsored links and then makes sure things don’t work. Any free theme that does this is trash. If you got it from the WordPress theme repository, you will probably want to report it to WordPress.

    Without providing examples of the footer code or a theme name it will be difficult to troubleshoot, as you can’t fix a problem if you cannot see it.

    can you re-upload the original footer.php file?
