The template is completely lost in IE, but it looks great in FF. Any ideas?

I get a 404 when I browse to the file: http://www.rubberduckproductions.com/vadervlog/wp-content/themes/wuhan/style-ie.css.

Does the file exist in this location?

You don't have a DOCTYPE or pretty much of anything in your header section.

You have, directly after your
'inline styles', then a meta, then you close the /head

Where's the rest of your header?

I appreciate your help though. Obviously this isn't a very urgent, life or death thing, I'm just pretty dang curious now. I'm sort of new to all this stuff and not very experienced with CSS.

According to my header.php file, there's a doctype in there.

Maybe I should just get a different template

I clicked your name here, and your site came up. I clicked past the jingling music to your real site.

I then went page "source" and all that was produced was
, inline styling, a meta tag and [/head]

Okay that's weird, wherever I look at the source, it's got everything it should.

Ha and I forgot about the jingling music, I guess I'm done with that now. That was my foray into flash.

the funny thing is when i save the file to my harddrive and open it, it works fine....

Weird. I think I'm just going to look into other templates, I've got two other WP blogs on there and they both look fine in IE.

This is a duplicate of what I found:

<html>
<head><title>rubber duck productions</title>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
#Layer1 {
position:absolute;
left:358px;
top:148px;
width:482px;
height:485px;
z-index:1;
}
body {
background-color: #CCCCCC}
#Layer2 {
position:absolute;
left:12px;
top:81px;
width:1225px;
height:122px;
z-index:1;
}
a:link {
color: #97B6C2;
}
a:visited {
color: #97B6C2;
}
a:hover {
color: #999999;
}
body, td, th {
color: #FFFFFF;
}
.style1 {
font-size: 10px;
color: #666666;
}
.style6 {color: #666666; }
.style11 {font-size: 12px; }
.style12 {font-size: 10px}
-->
</style>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.haloscan.com/load/jedifurball"></script>
</head>
<body>

No DOCTYPE or link to your stylesheets

yea i think the issue is this :

this is where your stylesheet exists
http://www.rubberduckproductions.com/vadervlog/wp-content/themes/wuhan/style.css

but for whatever reason in IE this is where it exists:
http://www.rubberduckproductions.com/vadervlog/wp-content/themes/wuhan/style-ie.css

do we know how to fix this? where is the stylesheet declared? anyone. 4 points to whomever answers correctly.

Well if it has the haloscan thing, that must be my main page. The one I'm having the problem with is over here:

I'm curious too.

zeusdidit - where did you pull them from? I only clicked past the jingling music and opened the very first page that rendered.

Twilightish.

Oh... My mistake. I just clicked your name and went from there.

That's weird, I don't have a style-ie.css anywhere though. Do I need one?

OK. Have you uploaded the style-ie.css into the right folder?

Forgive my *[pre]-assumption, just in case you have.

------

if you don't have style-ie.css, then its a simple typo. Just open header.php and double check your spelling.

I don't think I had a style-ie.css to begin with. Let me look around.

Yeah I just looked through the downloaded template folder, there's no style-ie.css in there.
