hi,
some evil person has gained access to my site
and keeps changing my company logo displayed
at the top of all my site pages to an obscene
replica of it.
i deleted the obscene version of my company logo
and reinstated the correct one yesterday only to
find that the rogue logo was back on display this
morning.
my site is running wordpress 2.9 with the thesis
theme.
any suggestions on what i can do to stop this
and prevent it from recurring would be very
gratefully received.
many thanks in advance!
Have a look at these two links:
http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked
http://smackdown.blogsblogsblogs.com/2008/06/24/how-to-completely-clean-your-hacked-wordpress-installation/
You need to identify how they're changing it. Do they just know the password? Is it a disgruntled ex-employee perhaps? Is a hacker exploiting another insecure script on your site? Has another Admin user previously been set up without your knowledge? Is there Malware on your PC that might be compromising your FTP password etc etc etc.
Look at your server logs. They might give you some clues too.

i check my server logs pray tell... i use

thanks again!
It's going to depend on what your host offers, so you may want to contact them, but have a look at the 'Logs' section of your cpanel for starters.
